¡Hola, cocineros! I’m Alba Morales, and welcome to my kitchen where Spanish traditions meet California innovation, and every recipe is a love letter to the flavors that have shaped my culinary journey.

I’m a 34-year-old chef from San Diego, California, who was born in Valencia, Spain, and immigrated to the US with my family when I was twelve. Growing up bicultural meant I learned to navigate two food worlds – my abuela’s traditional Spanish cocina and the fresh, vibrant ingredients of Southern California. When I’m not developing recipes, you’ll find me practicing flamenco guitar (badly, but with passion), surfing at dawn because the ocean centers me, or hosting elaborate tapas nights where my friends become my willing taste-testers for new creations.
